My Freebie Week

I decided to keep track of my freebies this week, so here it is:

• Coupon for a free signature collection item from Bath and Body Works.  They have a free gift with purchase Saturday only.  From their FB page: "One way we're giving thanks at this Saturday’s in-store holiday event? A FREE GIFT with any Full-Size Signature Collection purchase — shea-infused lounge sock of choice and a NEW 3 Cheers mini body lotion! While supplies last. See stores for details." You can also print this coupon to use while you're there.
• Free sample of Champion Raisels.
• Free sample pack of 6 Taster's Choice instant coffees.
• 5 $5 Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks!  Plus, I just ordered a $50 Amazon gift card that will really help with my shopping.  That's $75 in free Amazon gift cards this month!  The Swagbucks cash in reminded me to go cash in at all the other places so that I have Christmas shopping money.
• $30 in Barnes and Noble gift cards (for gifts) from MyPoints.
• $25 in Amazon Gift cards from FreeRide (look for a post about Free Ride tomorrow.  Somehow I have never done one.)
• $36.38 check from Inbox Dollars.

What better way to start your Monday, than with a lot of freebies? Today, I'm doing a kid theme for the free items.

• Get a free phone call from a Disney princess for your little one.
• This potty training DVD is always available.  You'll also get some pull-up samples and coupons.
• This Stage 4 welcome kit from Beechnut looks like a great freebie.
• Try this personalized song for your little one.  Use code myelmo or myveggie for free songs.
• Mighty Book Jr. looks like a fun site for learning to read.  You can get a 1 yr subscription free with code learntoread.
• Get a free kit with Elmo to teach your kids how to save money.  You'll need to call to get it, or you can print parts out at home.
• How about this one?  It's a place where you can read books and record to share with your little ones when you can't be close.  There are some free book options, and I think they'd be a great gift.  Check out A Story For Bed.
• Have a Seattle Storm fan?  They can join the kids club for free, and get a lot of cool swag.

Amazon September Magazine Deals

I think it's been months since I posted the Amazon magazine deals. It was a combination of factors: the deals were getting repetitive, and I let go of my magazine addiction in favor of less paper clutter.

I just took a little peek, and noticed there are some great deals right now.  They have $5 off a LOT of magazines right now, with a $7 or less section, a $10 or less section, and a $15 or less section.  I'll focus where I always do, on the cheapies.




Remember, a lot of these are only good with the auto-renewal.  Once you get done with your order, you can go to "manage subscriptions" and turn off the auto-renewal if you'd like.

Many of the $15 and under mags are still around $1 per issue, and they include O Magazine, so check them all out for yourself.

Good Mail

Every once in a while, a whole bunch of freebies come in the same week, reminding me why I like those freebie posts. So here are some of the best things we've gotten over the past week or so (linked if they're still available):

• Free stationery for my 7 year old.  The girl makes cards all day long, so she was thrilled.
• Free Arby's sandwich and free bagel
• Free sample of Brez.
• Free Shout Color Catcher
• Free 6 pack of Nescafe samples

Those are all I can remember off the top of my head, but it's been a good week.  You can look back through all my posts labeled freebies and see what you can still get.

Here's one new one I found this morning!  Get 3 free Atkins bars and a weight loss kit.  It looks like you have to join their club, but it's also free.

FREE Skincare Samples

This looks nice.  Free samples of 3 different skin care items from Naturopathica.

While you're at it, you can get this free sample of Angelica protective lotion.

A Few Good Kid Freebies

Some of these might be fun to have:

• Red Robin has a free package of Heinz tomato seeds.  Grow your own ketchup (or is it catsup?)  They have some other fun kids club activities on the page.  Now that I am trying to get the direct link, it shows being out.  You can still download a free kids cookbook, though.
• Free "Are You Smarter than a Curator?" bumper sticker.
• Free Historical Thinking poster.
• Free 3D glasses.
• FEMA will send out some disaster preparedness activity books, but you have to write to them to request it. 
• Another one they have to write in for, a grab bag of collector's pins.
• Barnes and Noble kids club has a lot of great benefits, including a free cupcake.
• Kmart also has a kids club, with $5 in birthday bucks.
• Free Healthy Habits activity book from Lysol.

That should be enough to stay busy for a little while this summer.

FREE Fish Oil Sample

This is a great freebie! A whole week's worth of Fish Oil supplements from Nature's Bounty.  I have signed up for and received a few different samples from them over the years, and they usually come with some really great coupons.  Click on over to Nature's Bounty's page and order some for yourself.

FREE Kids' Stationery Set

This looks like a great freebie, but snatch it up quickly. Just click on the link, enter your email address, then click "get my cards."  They'll take you through the checkout process, but the total is $0 so no credit card information is needed.

I had mine mailed to the artsy older kid, who will not only love the kit, but also getting good mail with her name on it.

Some Freebies

I'm hoping to get back to regular blogging now that I'm back to my regular schedule. If you love freebies, you may already know this. There are two major discount chains that offer free samples of items. One I don't shop at or mention, but TARGET has some samples pretty regularly.

Today, it's only free dog and cat food samples, but you may as well give it a try. I've found most free samples come with some good coupons as well.

This inspires me to go and seek out some more freebies:

• Here's a cool looking one, totally useless to me.  I don't use Sephora (too expensive) or an iPhone (ditto) but if you download an app, you can get a free skin.
• Free sticker to remind emergency responders to rescue your pet as well.
• Free surfing stickers. 
• Free air pressure test kit.
• Here's a free DVD on preserving rivers.
• And you can get free travel DVDs or brochures from National Geographic.

You can click the freebie link on my tag cloud and see some other freebies I've posted.  The thing with freebies is that sometimes they are all gone so fast that you don't get a chance to sign up, but sometimes they will come back in stock or they have a million available that they are still sending.  It's always worth a try.
