FREE Sample Gevalia Coffee

Target is offering up free samples of Gevalia coffee on their page right here.

If you are interested in that beauty bag, you have to provide a code from a coupon that will come if you buy a certain amount of products. I love the beauty bag samples, but I'm not sure I want to jump through all those hoops.

Target Two Day Sale

This looks like a good chance for deals. Target has released a two day ad for today (after 5 pm) and tomorrow. Check out the whole ad HERE. This is my local ad, so they will probably ask for your zip.

Along with the great deals, there is an automatic $10 gift card when you spend over $75.

I see some great deals, many items 50% off!

• Leapster Explorer 34.99.
• Nikon L105, 99.00
• The huge Barbie Princess set for 29.99!  This is a great deal for all the princesses.

I did notice that Amazon has matched almost all of the toy prices in the Target ad.  If you want something and it's sold out at Target, come back and try to grab it there.  **All except the Princesses.  They're a Target exclusive.

Great Kodak Photo Printing Freebie!

This is a really good opportunity to get a lot of free prints from Kodak! I would print quickly before they run out of coupons.  Go to their Facebook page to see the details of a free printing opportunity this week only. You'll be able to print 20 of your Facebook photos at their kiosk for free.  Simply select the store you want, and then go to print the coupon.  Because it's a bricks coupon, you'll be able to back up and print it again.  That's 40 free photos!

My only option was Target, and Target will require you to purchase 5 photos before you get your 20 free ones.  That's ok, because Target also has a coupon on their site for $2 off a print purchase of over 20.  Depending on your store, you may be able to use both coupons and print a LOT of photos.

Rango Pre-Order Deals

If you're looking to pre-order Rango, there are a few options right now. You can save $5 at Target with code Rango555, or you can print this one and take it to the store with you on July 15th.

One other option is Amazon pre-order, with code RANGO5GO to save $5 off the price.  I like the pre-order guarantee from Amazon, and knowing that I will definitely get the lowest possible price.

Target Black Friday In July

This page was emailed to me, showing Target's Black Friday sale page--they're going to have great savings every Friday in July, and you can see a preview every other day of the week.

So--check out their page and tune in first thing Friday morning to see what the prices are. You can also sign up to have the deals emailed to you so you don't forget.

Pantene Coupon Book

This coupon booklet came with the Pantene special buy from Target.  You'll be looking for the large bottles (25.4 oz) of Pantene with the small bottle (6.7 oz) attached.  They are on sale this week at Target, and there are some great coupons to make it a good buy.

Awesome Target Deals!

As always, I am not a coupon "expert" nor am I an extreme couponer.  I do use coupons a lot, stack them when I can, and use strategies for an effective stockpile.  I was running low on some items, and the perfect storm of stockpiling had finally arrived.

• I had P and G coupons from the May Brandsaver, and they were set to expire soon.
• I had a Target/P and G coupon book from the Sunday paper in the beginning of May with coupons I could stack.  Click to see the list.
• I had another great P & G coupon set from the last time I bought Charmin.
• Target was having a sale on P & G products and offering the $5 gift card with the purchase of two items.

I do not make a huge stockpile in my home, but I do like to have a few months' supply of the items we use a lot.  If you watch your store and keep track, you'll notice that things go on sale in cycles.  I know that Target will run this promotion every couple of months.  Instead of buying out every package of toilet paper that they have on the shelf, then filling my garage, I buy enough to get me to the next time.

So, here's the lowdown.  If you have the Target coupons to match, you can stack the Target coupons with the Brandsaver coupons or any others you might have.  Purchase 2, get $5 gift card as well.  It gets better!  In my Target, all the packages of Charmin Sensitive came with a huge pack of high value coupons.  Buy two, get the coupon pack, and go back in for more!

2 packages of 18 double rolls Charmin, $9.99 each
2 coupons for $1 off Charmin
2 coupons for free Freshmates with purchase of Charmin
$5 gift card back
====
$24.98, less coupons
$17.98, less $5 gift card
====
$6.49 per package and two free packages of Freshmates!

Don't forget to look for the ones with coupon books.  The new coupon book has coupons for $2 off one pack of Charmin, making this deal even better.

Pantene also has some sets where you got a smaller bottle free with the larger one, and those also have coupon books in them.  They are on sale for $3.79.

2 packages of Pantene, $3.79 each
$3 off 2 coupon from P&G
$1.50 off 2 coupon from Target P&G
====
$7.58, less coupons
$3.08 for two large bottles and two smaller bottles

The Pantene coupon book did not have more Pantene coupons, but it does have some really good health and beauty coupons.  I'm doing separate posts on these so this doesn't get too long and complicated.

More good buys from Target this week (stackable coupons and $5 gift cards galore!) include Iams, Tide, Tide Stain Release, Bounce dryer bars, Downy, Puffs, Pedigree, Pampers and Huggies.

FREE Target Bag

Be one of the first one million people to shop at Target tomorrow (April 17) and get a cool free reusable tote bag.  The first time I ever heard my older child use sarcasm correctly was when she was 5 and I was telling someone about how to get a free bag.  She rolled her eyes and said, "like you need another bag..."  Nevertheless, this one looks great, so I'll be trying to get it.

FREE This Week

I am going to try to start something new for a great Monday morning. I always look through the ads to try to find out what I can get for free, and there are a LOT this week. Rather than match up all the coupons for everything (I've mentioned before that there are a lot of great bloggers who do this better), I will just round up all the freebies.

Some Freebies

I'm hoping to get back to regular blogging now that I'm back to my regular schedule. If you love freebies, you may already know this. There are two major discount chains that offer free samples of items. One I don't shop at or mention, but TARGET has some samples pretty regularly.

Today, it's only free dog and cat food samples, but you may as well give it a try. I've found most free samples come with some good coupons as well.

This inspires me to go and seek out some more freebies:

• Here's a cool looking one, totally useless to me.  I don't use Sephora (too expensive) or an iPhone (ditto) but if you download an app, you can get a free skin.
• Free sticker to remind emergency responders to rescue your pet as well.
• Free surfing stickers.
• Free air pressure test kit.
• Here's a free DVD on preserving rivers.
• And you can get free travel DVDs or brochures from National Geographic.

You can click the freebie link on my tag cloud and see some other freebies I've posted.  The thing with freebies is that sometimes they are all gone so fast that you don't get a chance to sign up, but sometimes they will come back in stock or they have a million available that they are still sending.  It's always worth a try.

Some more, and I think this will be all for the day:

• A free cookbook starring Jiffy Mix.  Be sure to give them your real email, because you will need to verify your order.
• Another free cookbook.
• Free skiing DVD
• Free New Testament Bible.
• Free bag of kitty litter.
• Free sample of shampoo.
• Free sample of Redken for Men shampoo.
• Free cup of Yoplait yogurt.

Please comment and let me know your favorite types of freebies!  I love the free samples of shampoo and deodorant.  They're perfect for packing in the toiletry bag for trips.

Attention Target Shoppers

I ventured out in the ice to Target today, and what luck! Although the normal Target holiday markdown schedule dictates that it would hit 75% off on Wednesday or Thursday, it didn't. It was still marked 50% off (and 30% off for food items) today in our store, but it scanned all at 75% off.

The Ames store has a huge selection left, or did when I walked out of it.  There were some really good rolls of wrapping paper for 25 cents each in the dollar spot--which also was only marked 50% off but rang up 75% off.  There were many ornaments, indoor and outdoor lights, scotch tape (75% off!  3 rolls for 75 cents!), bows, boxes, along with some great looking tablecloths, many of which didn't look very Christmassy.

In the toy section, the clearance has begun.  Lots of toys are 30% off, with a few already marked half off.

Don't forget to check other end caps, because there were some nice bath and body and perfume gift sets that were marked down to 30% off.  I didn't scan any to check if they were also lower than marked, but it's worth a shot.

In the "things you need" section, furnace filters are marked down to $9.99 with a $5 gift card when you buy two.  There are also a lot of home decorating items that are 30-50% off mixed in along with the regular-priced items.  It has been my experience that around the 7th of January many of these items will get marked lower and consolidated into the end caps.

After Christmas Sales

Now is the time of year that my focus gets shifted to cleaning up the messes from the holidays and downsizing what we have. It is also a great time to get decorations, wrapping paper, and tape. Need a new Christmas tree? Ours was 75% off a couple of years ago.

Another thing that is starting is the famous (to me, anyway) Target after Christmas toy clearance. All the items that didn't get out of there as Christmas gifts have to go, and they've already started the markdowns.

I haven't gotten to our local store yet, so report back if you have. I'll probably get there today or tomorrow and will share my finds then.

Kmart will mark down very gradually (or they have in years past) so their good deals will come a little later.

What's your favorite after-holiday stock-up? I think I have finally used up all of my wrapping paper, so I do have to get a little for next year.

Lego Madness at Amazon

Lego sales are rare, but this week is a good week if you need to buy Lego. Toys R Us had a BOGO coupon for sets, Target is having a large sale on the building sets (free shipping on most, and the sale's in store as well), and now here is Amazon with a bunch of Lego items BOGO 1/2 off.

They also have these great Lego watches, all for under $20

Blokus Game

A reader asked, so I am posting. Target has Blokus for $15, which is a substantial savings! They do sell it online, but there's shipping charge.

Some Target savings I've found $7 off $70 if you click this link (it should pop up) and $5 off $50 for this link.  Target has free shipping on many items.  Amazon sells Blokus right now for $18.93, which is just about exactly the price you'd pay at Target if you paid shipping.  They're pretty clever like that.  It's still a pretty good savings from the $24 or more that it was when I first looked it up.

I just found this Target deal as well, B2GO on DVDs and books at Target.

The Target Two-Day Ad!

I am always on the go in the morning, but I just got this one in my inbox and wanted to share. It's Target's two-day ad, for Friday and Saturday.  Stores open at 4 am!
