Amazon for Groceries

Amazon to buy your groceries? Why would you want to do that?  For me, there are some items that Amazon sells that I would have to drive 30 miles or more to find.  In many instances, I would be able to buy my groceries much cheaper here, and I prefer to buy most things locally, but there are some products where it does make sense to buy from Amazon, especially if I can find them in their Friday Sale.

Very obviously, the Friday sale happens every Friday.  They sell a lot of odds and ends in the home improvement section, so check that out, too.  The food section often has items that are 15% or more off, then you can save 15% with their Subscribe and Save option, and sometimes there are even coupon codes for additional savings.

Case in point:

This Lipton Tea is listed as being $15 for 6 boxes, regular Amazon price.  For the Friday sale, they're selling it for $10, but you can save 15% with S&S, then an additional 10% with coupon code LPTEA255.   After all of that, you'll get 6 boxes of tea for $7.65 (6 cents per cup of tea!), delivered free to your house.

Here are a few others I see that have good deals.  Be sure to check the "special offers" under the list price of each item to see if you can save the 15% with S&S or if there are any coupon codes available for use.

**Subscribe and save allows you to set up regular deliveries of the same item as often as you want.  You will save 15% if you sign up, but you are able to edit or delete your subscriptions at any time (then use the 15% discount again if you decide to sign back up for S&S).
