Sorry for the short notice, but if you are in the Ames area, the Lions Club will be doing free eye screening on Wednesday, November 10 from 9-11 am. We've done this with our kids, and it's a very non-invasive test that can potentially save lives. They take a picture of the child's eye, then use that to screen for common childhood eye problems. There is more information HERE, though this isn't our local branch.
AND--How did I forget to put the location? It will be held at the United Church of Christ, 219 6th Street in Ames, and is free of charge.
If you are not local, but are a parent, look into this program through your own local Lions branch.
